  • "Hope" is not, in fact, a Pink Floyd cover; rather, it is a cover of a song from the Roy Harper album 'Whatever Happened To Jugula?' David Gilmour had written the music and asked Harper to provide lyrics (a prior attempt with Pete Townsend resulted in the song "White City Fighting" on Townsend's album 'White City: A Novel'). With Gilmour unable to relate to Harper's lyrics either, Harper ended up with the song "Hope". Gilmour did not, as is sometimes believed, play guitar for Harper on this song; it was his son Nick Harper.
